Subject
Heinnovate is a self-assessment tool, which allows higher education institutions to evaluate their potential for innovation through identifying, planning and prioritising actions according to eight key areas.
Description
Developed by the European Commission in collaboration with the OECD, the tool establishes areas of strengths and weaknesses and offers the possibility to track evolution and progress over time.
Heinnovate is interactive, free of charge, confidential, and easy-to-use. Apart from diagnosing strengths and weaknesses in digital and innovation in the context of the individual higher education institution, the tool also offers an environment where discussions and debates on aspects related to education or entrepreneurship can be facilitated, allowing for progressive tracking of metrics and evolution.
Academic institutions and educators can also access case studies, user testimonials and supporting materials, which can be used to design innovative solutions according to specific needs and requirements.
HEInnovate covers eight areas for self-assessment:
Leadership and governance.
Organisational capacity: funding, people and incentives.
Entrepreneurial teaching and learning.
Preparing and supporting entrepreneurs.
Digital transformation and capability.
Knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The internationalised institution.
Measuring impact.
